F1-coureurs reageren op aankondiging pensioen Vettel: "Een echte F1-legende"

F1-coureurs, van teamgenoten tot rivalen en voormalig coureurs, hebben gereageerd op het nieuws omtrent Sebastian Vettel. De viervoudig wereldkampioen kondigde donderdag aan dat hij na 2022 met pensioen gaat.

De Aston Martin-coureur verlaat de sport aan het einde van het huidige seizoen en zal in Abu Dhabi de 300 races bereiken voordat hij de zonsondergang tegemoet zal rijden. De Duitser zal tevens met vier wereldkampioenschappen, allemaal bij Red Bull, afscheid gaan nemen van de sport en vooral meer tijd met zijn familie door gaan brengen.

Reacties

Onder meer wereldkampioenen Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen en Nico Rosberg schreven een eerbetoon op sociale media, terwijl ook beschermeling en landgenoot Mick Schumacher van zich liet horen nu Vettel zijn 15-jarige carrière in de Formule 1 gaat beëindigen. Een paar van de reacties.
