Spanish GP Qualifying Recap

Formula 1's European season begins in earnest as the Circuit de Catalunya hosts the Spanish Grand Prix, the fifth race of the 2019 championship. So far, Mercedes have dominated with four 1-2 finishes and two wins each for Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, with the Finn leading the driver rankings. Will the Silver Arrows once again claim pole?

Ferrari haven't earned a pole position in Barcelona in over a decade, and it doesn't look like they'll stop the rot this afternoon.

It looks like pole position belongs to either HAMILTON or BOTTAS, with both Mercedes cars looking by far the most impressive. Another weekend of domination for the Silver Arrows?

A bit too close for comfort for LECLERC who left it until the very last minute to leap out of the elimination zone to progress for Q3.

Huge disappointment in the stands at the elimination of SAINZ who is enjoying his home race in Spain. He suffered a locked wheel midway through his final lap which just cost him a few vital seconds. The first time EVER both McLaren drivers failed to make it in to Q3 in Spain.
