Vettel sneaks victory from Hamilton - Australian Grand Prix In Pictures

Victory was Sebastian Vettel's at the Australian Grand Prix as Ferrari got the jump on Mercedes at Albert Park for the second year running and Lewis Hamilton had what looked like a certain victory snatched away from him. Here are the best pictures from Sunday's race.

No sign of struggle off the line for Hamilton, who easily held off Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.

Max Verstappen was jumped by Kevin Magnussen, leading to a frustrating few laps for the Red Bull.

Verstappen desperately tried to get back past the Haas, but ended up spinning...

Spun!

Haas ended up with a double DNF, with both Magnussen and Romain Grosjean forced to retire due to errors at pit-stops, the latter causing a VSC, which proved crucial.

Vettel dived into the pits, emerging ahead of Hamilton with P1 intact. Hamilton was quick onto the radio. His team told him "something has gone wrong".

The champion was powerless to take first place back, as Vettel cruised to victory.
