Williams' announcement that Nicholas Latifi will end his three-year stay with the team at the season's conclusion kicks off yet another driver market saga.
Alex Albon was already confirmed at the Grove-based team and whilst Latifi's end is no surprise, the question can now be raised as to who will partner the Thai-British driver from next year.
Reserve driver Logan Sargeant has impressed in F2 this season and could be the American driver F1 has been longing for, whilst Albon's Monza stand-in Nyck de Vries did nothing to hurt his bid to join the grid by scoring debut points.
Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg and Jack Aitkin could all be suitors, whilst Zhou Guanyu's Chinese backing could fill the void created by Latifi's departure.
