Las Vegas Grand Prix: Eye-watering fan packages revealed

Plans have started to emerge regarding fan experiences for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix next season.

F1 will race down the famous Strip for the first time as the sport adds a third United States-based event to its bustling calendar.

The highly-anticipated weekend has been given a preliminary date of November 16-18, which would likely see the showcase scheduled as an end-of-season double-header with Abu Dhabi.

Whilst plans for the weekend are still being assembled, the MGM Resorts group have announced a series of hotel-plus-event packages on social media, with fans able to sign up for further information.

As per Sports Business Journal, MGM Resorts CEO Bill Hornbuckle has revealed there is a plan in place to buy $20-25million worth of tickets from F1, with packages set to retail for up to $100,000.

In a Twitter post, Hornbuckle added: "I could not be more excited for Formula 1 to join us in Las Vegas.

"The variety of sports and entertainment in our city is nothing short of spectacular and I cannot wait to watch the race next November."
