F1 Canadian Grand Prix weather forecast

The Canadian Grand Prix returns this weekend for the first time since 2019, and we have had a mixed weekend already at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve where the weather is concerned.

The two Friday practice sessions took place under a cover of gradually darkening clouds but, despite a grim forecast, the rain held off until running ended.

This was not the case on Saturday, however, with final practice being completed in heavy rain while qualifying saw conditions slowly improve.

Max Verstappen mastered the conditions to score pole position with Fernando Alonso joining him on the front row for Alpine.

After such varied conditions so far this weekend, what can you expect on race day?

Canadian Grand Prix weather forecast

For the first time this weekend, the threat of rain is at zero per cent with the sun expected to shine over Montreal and the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Temperatures should peak at 21 degrees Celsius with a southerly 9mph wind pushing drivers down the two main straights.
