F1 Monaco Grand Prix weather forecast

F1 has returned to the jewel in its crown for the Monaco Grand Prix with home hero Charles Leclerc hoping to wipe away the disappointment of last weekend's Spanish retirement.

The Ferrari driver will also be keen to avenge his qualifying crash of last year that took away his chance of starting on pole.

There should be no such problems on Sunday as Leclerc captured a superb pole to spearhead a Ferrari front row with Carlos Sainz alongside him.

Max Verstappen may lead the 2022 championship standings after taking his fourth win of the season last Sunday, but the Red Bull driver may relinquish that position given he only starts from fourth on the grid.

Could the weather gods play a part and help the Dutch driver because after two days of glorious sunshine over the principality so far this race weekend, there is the threat of rain in the air?

So what awaits F1 in Monaco on Sunday?

Monaco Grand Prix weather forecast

Sunday: The morning starts off bright and sunny before clouds start to gather but the light rain that was earlier in the week forecast to threaten the race is now set to start in the early evening. The temperature drops to around 22 after being in the high 20s on Friday and Saturday. There will be light winds of around nine miles per hour, with humidity in the mid-60 per cent range.
