The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola in April may have been the first race in Europe but for all the teams, the Spanish GP is where they get a true feel for the season and what their cars can achieve.
Unlike at Imola, where F1 was treated to wet and chilly weather, and certainly in stark contrast to pre-season testing earlier this year in Barcelona where temperatures were in the low-to-mid-teens Celsius, this weekend's racing is set for glorious sunshine.
According to numerous forecasts, there will barely be a cloud in sight across the two days and with temperatures set for a scorching 30-plus degrees Celsius.
Spanish Grand Prix weather forecast

Temperatures are set for 30-32 centigrade in mid-afternoon, pushing the track temperature towards the 50s. There will be light gusts, nudging 12mph, while humidity will be in the mid-60s for that session.
Sunday: Another beautiful day for the race, with temperatures again set for around 28 to 29 with no clouds. There will be a gentle breeze of around 11mph, while humidity is set for the low 60s.
