The F1 community has been saddened to learn of the passing of six-time race winner Tony Brooks ahead of the inaugural Miami Grand Prix.
Brooks drove for BRM, Vanwall and Ferrari in his brief F1 career from 1956-61 and raced alongside legendary names such as Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jack Brabham and Juan Manuel Fangio.
Like Moss, Brooks was never a world champion, but in becoming only the fourth driver to score six grands prix victories, the 'Racing Dentist' cemented his name in the history books.
Brooks was the last surviving race winner of the 1950s after Moss died in 2020.
