Stefano Domenicali believes the immediate success of Ferrari's 2022 package will be good for the sport and boost ticket sales "as in the old days".
Domenicali served as the Ferrari team principal from 2008-14 and is now the CEO of F1.
After Ferrari finished first and second in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, Domenicali described the result as "good for everyone" and predicted an increase in ticket sales, especially for April's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
"There is no doubt that to see Ferrari back again and competitive is very good for everyone," said Domenicali.
"I am sure that this will have an impact on the number of tickets that the promoters will sell and I am expecting a big crowd at Imola as in the old days."
Building upon his foresight of increased ticket sales, Domenicali claimed F1 was "in good health" with more companies and brands are taking interest in the sport.
"You have seen also here the quality of the promotor, the energy that we want to bring to have a different experience for the fans in the paddock, in the grandstands, to try to give this moment of Formula 1 that is good," Domenicali explained.
"Let's say, from a commercial point of view, we don't underestimate in this moment that a lot of companies are investing in us. We see how many new brands are coming into Formula 1 and this is a sign that the business is really in good health.
"We need to do a step by step but for sure, the first signals are really encouraging and Formula 1 is at the moment in great shape.
"We need to make sure that everyone involved is doing the right job with the right intensity."
