Ferrari hit by thick fog on demonstration run of new F1-75

Ferrari was forced to battle through fog as its new F1-75 ran on track for the first time.

Drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz helped unveil the new car on Thursday, with both left purring at machinery that has so far captured the imagination.

While Mercedes completed a shakedown at Silverstone with Storm Eunice battering the United Kingdom, Ferrari were fog-bound at Fiorano.

The run was delayed as the Scuderia waited for the worst of the fog to lift before first Leclerc and then Sainz enjoyed a handful of laps apiece, with the car completing 15 kilometres overall.

Following the event, the duo then rewarded the fans who had braved the conditions by walking out to the first corner to pose for pictures and sign autographs.

The car will next run on February 22 when Ferrari's completes a filming day at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona ahead of pre-season testing commencing the day after.
