Ferrari is in turmoil after a difficult final practice at the Italian Grand Prix that was punctuated by a heavy crash for Carlos Sainz.
Sainz lost the rear of his Ferrari on the kerbs at Ascari and made heavy contact with the wall midway through the session.
The Spaniard was subsequently taken to the on-site medical facility for checks and although cleared, is required to return for further checks one hour later.
The crash was his third in four races following incidents in Hungary and the Netherlands.
Ferrari's session went from bad to worse as Leclerc returned to the garage with the clock approaching zero having reported an issue via the radio. Ferrari has since confirmed this was a health issue.
"We are working flat out, aiming to get Carlos’ car ready for Sprint Qualifying," said a Ferrari spokesperson.
Addressing Leclerc's situation, they added: "We cut his session a few minutes short as he was feeling slightly unwell."
