Mick Schumacher is the only driver that has been hit with a penalty for the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen avoiding sanctions despite taking a new power unit.

Haas driver Schumacher serves what is a meaningless five-place penalty for taking a new gearbox following his crash in final practice at the Hungaroring on Saturday.

The incident meant Schumacher failed to take part in qualifying, so was automatically due to start last anyway prior to confirmation of the gearbox penalty.

Verstappen, meanwhile, has been forced to take new power unit elements after Honda discovered issues following qualifying it believes were as a consequence of the Red Bull driver's 51g crash during the British Grand Prix.

Verstappen's RB16B has taken on a third and final internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H and MGU-K, but without penalty.

It leaves the Dutch driver lining up third on the grid behind an all-Mercedes front row spearheaded by Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.
