Verstappen four-letter fury after quizzed on potential Hamilton incident

Max Verstappen vented his fury following qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix after being asked about another potential wheel-to-wheel battle with Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen had just finished third behind an all-Mercedes front-row spearheaded by F1 title rival Lewis Hamilton who goes into the race at the Hungaroring looking to close down an eight-point deficit to the Red Bull driver and in search of his 100th win.

Verstappen will now start directly behind Hamilton, and with the duo on offsetting strategies as the former lines up on the soft tyres, with the latter on the medium compound, there is the potential for another showdown.

Coming just two weeks after their high-profile incident on the opening lap of the British Grand Prix, a question was posed to Verstappen during the main FIA press conference that started: "If you two end up wheel to wheel after the start tomorrow..."

The interviewer was unable to conclude as Verstappen immediately interrupted. An angry Verstappen said: "Can we just already stop about this!

"We've had so many fucking questions about this. It's just ridiculous.

"Honestly, the whole Thursday we've been answering stupid shit all the time so can we just stop about it, please.

"We are racers, we will race, and, of course, we are going to race hard but fair so we will just keep pushing each other."

The interviewer then turned to Hamilton and was asked if he had anything to add. The seven-time champion simply shook his head.
