Horner - "Zero tolerance" for Hamilton racist abuse

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has declared his team has a "zero tolerance" policy with regard to racist behaviour after F1 rival Lewis Hamilton was targeted during and after the British Grand Prix.

Hamilton was involved in a lap-one collision with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen at Silverstone that split opinion in the paddock and on social media.

There were, however, those that used the incident as an excuse to subject Hamilton to racist abuse, leading to F1, the FIA, Mercedes and rival teams, including Red Bull, have expressed their disdain.

In a personal statement, Horner said: "Whilst the rivalry is intense on track for the championship, highly charged emotions should never cross the line into racist abuse.

"We have a zero-tolerance approach to racist behaviour within our team and I personally feel strongly that those responsible for this sort of abuse should be held to account.

"We will continue to support the FIA and F1 in order to eradicate this from our sport."
