Ferrari SF21 makes on-track debut in Bahrain

Ferrari has taken to the track to complete a filming day in Bahrain ahead of the commencement of pre-season testing on Friday.

Ferrari launched the SF21 online on Wednesday afternoon and Charles Leclerc was the first driver to get behind the wheel.

As per the regulations, Ferrari was restricted to 100km of running with the Scuderia using the opportunity to shakedown the new car as well as to gather still images and video footage that will be used in promotional activities across the year.

Carlos Sainz, fresh from his move to Ferrari from McLaren, was also granted a handful of laps in the new car after Haas completed the first of its two permitted filming days.

Leclerc will return to the cockpit on Friday morning after Ferrari confirmed its schedule for the first day of pre-season testing before handing over control to Sainz in the afternoon.
