Aston Martin has completed a successful shakedown of its AMR21 as the team ended a 61-year hiatus since it last took to the track.
The car was unveiled in a star-studded display on Wednesday that included actress Gemma Arterton, Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady and James Bond actor Daniel Craig.
On Thursday, Aston Martin drivers Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll completed the regulatory 100 kilometres allowed for a filming day at Silverstone on Pirelli demo tyres.
Although the conditions were far from perfect, as can be seen in the below images, it is understood the car ran smoothly.
It was the first time cars bearing the name Aston Martin had been involved in a Formula 1 programme since Roy Salvadori and Maurice Trintignant each drove a DBR5 in the 1960 British Grand Prix.
The team's next outing will be in testing at the Bahrain International Circuit on March 12-14, with the season-opening grand prix following a fortnight later at the same venue.
