Lewis Hamilton may have secured a record-equalling seventh Formula 1 world drivers' title last time out in Turkey but there are still plenty of reasons to get excited for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Hamilton and Mercedes are champions once again, but now the attention switches fully to the intense battle for third in the constructors' championship and fourth in the drivers'.

The gaps between Racing Point, McLaren and Renault may have widened after the Turkish Grand Prix, 18-points now separating the trio, but Ferrari now sits just six points further back having registered third and fourth place finished in Istanbul.

In the drivers' standings, Sergio Perez is fourth behind Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen, but is pursued by Charles Leclerc and Daniel Ricciardo, the duo both within four points of the Ferrari driver.

The dynamics of both battles have changed week on week across the year and it is unlikely there will be a breakaway victor until the flag falls on the season in Abu Dhabi on December 13.
