Items including race suits from both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are going under the hammer as auction house Bonhams attempt to raise money for the National Health Service.
Bonhams are raising money for the NHS by auctioning off various items donated by celebrities and sports teams. Among the items are the two race suits from Mercedes, further suits from Lando Norris and from Sergio Perez and a 2021 British Grand Prix experience from Williams.
Bonhams managing director for the UK and Europe Patrick Mason told Motorsport Magazine, “The NHS staff and volunteers are heroes to us all. We at Bonhams are honoured to host this initiative and to donate the skills we have at our auction house to support those who are working so hard for us on the frontline."
The suit donated by Hamilton was worn in several free practice two sessions, including those at the Monaco, Austrian and British grands prix.
The funds raised will go towards covering the cost of parking for NHS staff and volunteers as well as gift packs of food, overnight kits and sanitary products.
