Haas have confirmed that the majority of their UK based team personnel have been placed onto the government job retention scheme.
The Haas Formula 1 team confirmed via a spokesperson to Formula1.com that many of their staf have now been furloughed. Following similar announcements from Renault, McLaren, Williams and Racing Point, this now means that half of the grid have felt the need to take advantage of the scheme.
As has been the case elsewhere, it is reported that drivers and key personnel have taken pay cuts in order to further assist with the survival of the team.
Team founder and owner Gene Haas had previously made clear that a strong 2020 campaign was required to guarantee the continued participation of Haas in Formula 1. It is unclear how the present situation will affect the future plans of the team.
