Steiner questions whether F1 will race at all in 2020

Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has no idea whether Formula 1 will race at all in 2020 after the first four races have been either postponed or cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With races in Holland, Spain and Monaco looking likely to join the list of postponed events, Steiner reveals his uncertainty of what the calendar will eventually look like.

“Will we race this year? I honestly have no idea,” Guenther Steiner told Ziggo Sport.

"In the coming days we will see what the year will look like. I expect we will race. Hopefully, the world will get the virus under control and we can start again."

The original statement from Formula 1 indicated an intent to restart the championship in late May, although the suggestion is now that Azerbaijan will host the season opener in June.

There has been no official time frame set for further announcements with the situation surrounding coronavirus developing day by day in different countries around the world.
