Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen each issued a strong response to Ferrari, taking the top two spots on the timesheets in final practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Ferrari had ended Friday looking in good form to return to their Saturday-dominating ways of recent months.
However, Hamilton was fastest of all in FP3, with Verstappen just two hundredths further down.
Charles Leclerc, who will serve a 10-place grid penalty in Sunday's race, was marginally quicker than Sebastian Vettel, but had to curtail a late effort at a lap after narrowly avoiding a crash with Carlos Sainz.
Leclerc and Vettel were around three tenths off Hamilton's leading time, which will keep tongues wagging ahead of qualifying, with the Scuderia's straight-line speed coming under intense scrutiny.
