Alexander Albon's heavy shunt headlined an otherwise sedate second practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix as drizzly conditions kept teams from the track for the most part.
Albon dipped a rear wheel onto the grass at the final corner of the Hungaroring and was spent spinning into the barriers with force. After a check in the medical centre, the Thai driver was cleared fit.
Pierre Gasly topped the timesheets ahead of red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen, although there were few representative times clocked before the rain set in.
Long stretches of the session played out with no cars on-track as the asphalt was not dampened sufficiently to run intermediate tyres, while the slicks were unsuitable due to the rain.
