Daniel Ricciardo's endured another Renault mechanical failure at the German Grand Prix, as his engine went pop after just 15 laps of wet-weather running at Hockenheim.
With team-mate Nico Hulkenberg running in the top five, it was double frustration for Ricciardo.
The Australian was reportedly running his spec-one engine, with Renault hoping a fresher power unit will aid him in Hungary next week.
However, the gamble did not pay off in Hockenheim as he became the second driver to retire after Sergio Perez crashed.
