Vettel suffers another qualifying nightmare at German GP

Sebastian Vettel was eliminated in Q1 during qualifying for the German Grand Prix as he ran into technical trouble on a Saturday yet again this year.

Vettel was unable to run in Q3 in Austria earlier two races prior - with team-mate Charles Leclerc taking pole position.

With Leclerc once again looking a candidate for pole in Hockenheim, Vettel will start at the back of the grid after failing to set a time in Q1.

After emerging for his first run, Vettel reported a lack of power, with immediate suggestions that an air-pressure drop may have been to blame.

"There's an issue - I lost power"

Ferrari confirmed that a turbo failure was to blame for Vettel's hapless Saturday.

We had a turbo related problem on #Seb5’s car. Quali is over for him. #GermanGP
