Day three of Formula 1 pre-season testing will be hotly anticipated as all eyes fall on Williams to see if the beleaguered side can finally get going in Barcelona. The FW42 travelled to the Circuit de Catalunya in the small hours of the morning, with further construction taking place at the track.
Tuesday saw a few more spills than the opening day of testing, with Pierre Gasly putting his Red Bull in the wall and Daniel Ricciardo suffering a rear-wing failure in the Renault.
Max Verstappen will return for the former, while Sebastian Vettel is also back in action, having put in a marathon effort on Monday for Ferrari, whose impressive form continued into Tuesday with Charles Leclerc at the controls of the SF90.
George Russell and Robert Kubica will be hoping to finally hit the track for Williams, but the team's reserve driver Nicholas Latifi has seen his running cancelled due to the delay in getting started.
Deputy team principal Claire Williams and chief technical officer Paddy Lowe have cancelled media commitments amid the wait and both are under pressure, with reports suggesting that the FW42 will start the year significantly slower than its rivals, who have seemingly managed to recover much of the pace lost by the reduced downforce new front wings.
