It was a thrilling, exciting, dramatic Austrian Grand Prix in which Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen giving memorable drives as they battled it out for victory. So it was no surprise to see Driver of the Day awarded to... Robert Kubica?
F1 operates a voting system through their website allowing viewers of the race to vote for the best driver of the race, which isn't always the one who collects the chequered flag.
And while fans were wondering whether to vote for either Leclerc or Verstappen, the Driver of the Day announcement declared Robert Kubica, who finished last, as the one who received the most votes.
It's unclear whether the vote had been hijacked by fans who were perhaps unhappy at the investigation into Max's coming together with Leclerc in the closing laps, or whether that has been a bug in the voting system.
But as of one hour after the race, Kubica remained the best man on the track in Austria - much to everyone's bemusement.
