Daniil Kvyat will start the French Grand Prix from the back of the grid after Toro Rosso opted to take an entirely new power unit in Le Castellet. Kvyat was already set to take a grid drop after taking on a new Internal Combustion Engine in France.

Both Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly also have Honda's latest engine this weekend, although Kvyat's Toro Rosso team-mate Alexander Albon will not take the new ICE as he would also have taken a grid drop.

The new ICE is reportedly worth an extra 10 brake horsepower, and Kvyat will need it as he is set to start at the very back.

With the new ICE set to cost him 10 places on the grid, Toro Rosso have also added new turbocharger, MGU-H, MGU-K, energy store and control electronics to his pool of engine parts.

Renault have also brought a new engine to Circuit Paul Ricard, but Daniel Ricciardo is the only driver to use it.

Nico Hulkenberg will not take the ICE, as he would have incurred a grid drop in Renault's home race.
