A Ferrari 312T driven by Niki Lauda has been put on sale in America, with reports suggesting it could fetch as much as $10million. Lauda drove the exact model to one grand prix victory en route to taking the 1975 drivers' title.
In all, Lauda raced in five grands prix in the model, claiming pole position each time.
However, he only won once, at the French GP that year.
Interest in the model is likely to be raised given the emotion surrounding Lauda's recent passing.
The triple world champion had been suffering with numerous health problems after falling ill on holiday last year.
He required a life-saving lung transplant and spent much of the latter half of last year in intensive care in Vienna.
Auction house Gooding & Co's listing reads: "An extraordinary Formula One car with one of the most successful and revered drivers of the era at the wheel, this Ferrari 312T is certain to be a highlight in what promises to be an unforgettable sale."
