Hamilton races in Monaco with Lauda helmet design

Lewis Hamilton will race the Monaco Grand Prix using a helmet design of Niki Lauda in yet another tribute to Mercedes' non-executive chairman, who died aged 70 this week. Teams up and down the grid have offered nice touches in honour of three-time world champion Lauda.

Mercedes have run with a red halo on the W10 in Monte Carlo, touching on Lauda's famous red cap, while the car is also adorned with lauda's signature and a red star - which will remain in place.

Hamilton paid a touching tribute to Lauda after securing pole position for the race.

And the reigning champion went one further on race day, opting to race with Lauda's famous red design around the famous streets.
