Lance Stroll says Racing Point "is another world" to life at the struggling Williams team as he settles into life with his new employers in 2019. After spending his first two years at Williams, Stroll switched to Racing Point for this season following his father's takeover of the team.
Stroll's switch was an open secret for much of the latter part of the previous season, with Esteban Ocon moving aside from the then-called Force India squad to accommodate the Canadian's arrival alongside Sergio Perez.
Last year's financial difficulties mean Racing Point have started 2019 in a solid, if unspectacular fashion, but with big upgrades planned in the coming weeks, Stroll is revelling in his new environment.
"It's very exciting," Stroll told GPFans. "So far I've really enjoyed my time at Racing Point.
"The transition's been great and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
"It's just a different environment and a much better environment and that shows on the track.
"The level of competitiveness is another world and it's a very talented passionate team that are very hungry to do well in the future."
Although Stroll is yet to make it out of Q1 this year, he has scored points in Australia and Azerbaijan, partly down to a supreme ability off the line in races, which he has displayed throughout his career to date.
He explained: "It's just in the heat of the moment, making the most of it. It's one of those things you can't really plan in advance.
"Every start's unique so I'm on the edge of my seat picking off places."
