Kimi Raikkonen has looked more like a racer capable of winning grands prix in 2018 than he has in many a year, but his drought looks even more likely to hit an unwanted milestone after a frustrating Friday at the Spanish Grand Prix. It's lights out for Saturday morning.
The Finn's last race win was at the 2013 Australian Grand Prix, when he was a Lotus driver, Mercedes were a team flattering to deceive and Crashtappen was a twinkle in Crashtor's twisted carbon fibre.
Ever-unflappable, Raikkonen suggested it was "no major deal" and any change of parts will not land him a grid penalty - heck, fresher engine parts in a tightly packed battle for honours could even be a benefit.
But all the recent form would suggest that Raikkonen's long wait will go on. He broke another drought at last year's Monaco Grand Prix, taking pole position for the first time in 131 races, but whether Ferrari allow this delay to go on is another matter...
