Lights Out: A sunny future for F1

Formula 1 drivers, fans and writers alike will need to stock up on sunscreen, hats and mosquito repellant in the coming months because, much like an infectiously catchy pop song from two decades ago, we're going to Miami! It's lights out for Thursday morning!

It's been reported that the Baku City Circuit could make way for Miami, which seems a tad odd given the Azerbaijan Grand Prix's propensity for headline-creation - including the most recent race, which is still sending shockwaves through F1.

Yesterday brought the news of Red Bull making a decision over whether to impose team orders on Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen following their on-track Baku brawl.

The refusal to instruct the drivers either way last weekend suggests that Max truly is the golden boy of Red Bull, according to one pundit. But could the same be said of F1 itself? This bizarre bit of rule-changing on the sport's official website amid the weekend's incident got tongues wagging...
