Silverstone Grand Prix weather forecast

Sunday

Around racetime, it's lights out at 3pm, the weather is predicted to be volatile, potentially stormy with a chance of both rain and sunny spells – so incredibly changeable and hard to predict.

The chance of rain tops out at over 40 per cent just before lights out, and rain clearly visible on the radar to the west.

The potential for stormy interludes and random showers ticks up as soon as the race gets underway though, so there may well be a chance that weather very much plays a part at Silverstone later today
