The eyes of the world will be on Austin, Texas for the 2024 United States Grand Prix as Formula 1 returns alongside the sprint.
F1 heads to COTA for round 19 of the 2024 season, with Lando Norris left with only six remaining races to catch Max Verstappen in the drivers' championship.
The McLaren star displayed a dominant performance last time out in Singapore, and closed down the gap in the drivers' standings to 52 points.
Norris' team-mate Oscar Piastri also stepped onto the podium in Singapore, and extended McLaren's lead at the top of the constructors' standings by 41 points.
But how will the weather play out for this weekend's F1 action?
US Grand Prix weather forecast

Widespread sunshine is expected for the first practice session in Austin, with temperatures of around 25 degrees Celsius due for the session that will start at 12:30pm (CDT).
There is a zero per cent chance of rain for practice on Friday, in what will be a huge relief for the teams with just the one practice session before competitive running starts.
Temperatures will rise to 29 degrees Celsius for sprint qualifying, and cloud will begin to roll in, with a small chance of rain hitting the circuit as SQ3 gets underway, but this is unlikely.

Saturday will also be hot, but the track will be covered by overhead cloud cover. The sprint race will see temperatures of around 26 degrees Celsius at lights out at 1pm local time, and there is a zero per cent chance of rain hitting the sprint race.
The same goes for qualifying, with temperatures rising to 28 degrees and a wind speed of a moderate 10mph.
Sunday, October 20: Race
Sunday's race will kick off a 2pm local time (CDT), in glorious conditions, with sunny spells all day and temperatures hitting 30 degrees Celsius for the first time in the weekend.
There is a zero per cent chance of rain throughout the race, which may mean an extension to the safety car drought that has been in place since the Canadian Grand Prix.
