US Grand Prix weather forecast

Saturday, October 19: Sprint Race & Qualifying

Saturday has been hot, but the track being covered by overhead cloud cover has reduced the effect of the temperature on the drivers. The sprint race saw temperatures of 27 degrees Celsius for lights out at 1pm local time, with the sprint race steering clear of rain.

The same conditions await qualifying, with temperatures expected to reach 27 degrees and a wind speed of 17mph.

Sunday, October 20: Race

Sunday's race will kick off at 2pm local time (CDT), in glorious conditions, with sunny spells all day and temperatures hitting 27 degrees Celsius.

There is less than a five per cent chance of rain throughout the race, which may mean an extension to the safety car drought that has been in place since the Canadian Grand Prix this season.
