Singapore Grand Prix weather forecast - latest today from Marina Bay

Here's how the weather forecast is looking ahead of the 2024 F1 Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Formula 1's 18th round of the season takes place at Marina Bay, following an enthralling Azerbaijan Grand Prix that saw McLaren take the initiative in the constructors' championship battle.

Ferrari are also in the hunt for the championship, sitting 31 points behind Red Bull in the constructors' standings.

Both teams lost crucial points at the Azerbaijan GP, with Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez crashing into each other and hitting the barriers during the closing stages of the race.

The Ferrari star was victorious around the streets of Singapore in 2023, and will be hoping to emulate last year's success to remedy his disastrous Baku weekend.

But how will the weather play out for this weekend's F1 action?

Singapore Grand Prix weather forecast

Friday, September 20: FP1 & FP2

FP1 has a small chance of rain on Friday, with thunder storms around the region for most of the day. However, these storms appear to be clearing as the evening progresses, meaning just a 10% of rain during FP1, and a 0% chance during FP2.

Gusts of wind are expected to settle at speeds of 12mph during FP1, which will decrease throughout the course of the evening.

Temperatures will be at their highest during FP1 sitting at 32 degrees Celsius, whilst FP2 will drop to 29.

Saturday, September 21: FP3 & Qualifying

Singapore will once again be hit with thundery showers during Saturday, but they will likely have cleared before any action gets underway.

FP3 will feature temperatures of around 31 degrees and a zero per cent chance of precipitation, while qualifying will cool to a more pleasant 28 degrees, and will once again have a zero per cent chance of rain despite high humidity levels of around 75%.

Sunday, September 22: Race

Once again thundery showers will batter the circuit in between qualifying and the race, potentially washing away any marbles from the first two days of running, but there is only a 5% chance of rain hitting the race.

It will be 29 degrees Celsius from lights out, but 75% humidity is forecast for the race start at 8pm (local time).
