Biography of Lance Stroll

Lance Strulovitch, much better known now as Lance Stroll, is a Canadian F1 driver racing for the Aston Martin F1 team.

Born in Montreal on October 29, 1998, Lance is now 25 years of age and has dual Canadian and Belgian nationality.

He is the son of successful businessman Lawrence Stroll, who is part-owner of the Aston Martin F1 team.

Lance stands at a height of 5ft 11 in tall (1.82m).

Lance Stroll in F1

Lance Stroll has struggled to shake the tag of being a pay driver since making his F1 debut with Williams in 2017 with his father, Lawrence Stroll, worth $3.2 billion.

Aside from his final season in the junior ranks, a season spent in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, there was little about his progression that suggested the Canadian would make it to F1. But in the 2016 season, Stroll dominated the championship, beating drivers of high calibre, including George Russell, Callum Ilott, and Anthoine Hubert.

Having joined Williams as the team began its slide towards the back of the grid, Stroll struggled in early races but took advantage of some crazy circumstances in Azerbaijan to score his first F1 podium in just his eighth race, finishing third.

Ending the year 12th, Stroll endured a far tougher 2018 with Williams as the team hit what it had hoped was rock bottom. Scoring just six points across 21 races, the Canadian ended the year 18th.

Stroll's 2019 move to Racing Point was clearly signposted during the '18 season after a consortium led by his father Lawrence acquired the Silverstone-based team.

Moving to a better-performing team, but again, it was a difficult year, with Stroll scoring only 21 points compared to teammate Sergio Perez's 52.

In the COVID-affected 2020 season, Stroll began to shift opinions, however. In the first half of the season, aside from a retirement in the opening race of the year, Stroll scored in every race and stood on the podium for the second time of his career at the Italian Grand Prix.

A crash at Mugello appeared to knock the Canadian, however, and Stroll dropped out of the top 10 by the end of the year despite another podium in Sakhir.

After Racing Point was rebranded to Aston Martin over the winter, Stroll enjoyed a solid, although not spectacular, start to the year.

In a compact midfield, the Canadian was consistently on the fringes of the top 10, and he finished the season in 13th place in the standings with a total of 34 points.

After a disappointing 15th-place finish in the 2022 season, Stroll rebounded in 2023 with a career-best 10th-place finish and 74 points.

Lance Stroll Net Worth

A driver's contract with a team is, of course, confidential information but Stroll's contract is believed to be worth $2 million annually.

Lance Stroll Girlfriend

With a job as an F1 driver and a billionaire dad, Lance is one of the most eligible bachelors around, so no surprise there is much interest in his girlfriend.

Not only does Stroll have a burgeoning F1 career, but his dad, Lawrence, is a billionaire, making him a fairly eligible bachelor. He has been linked in the past to designer, TV presenter, and socialite Kimberley Garner, but Stroll is now dating Italian model and musician Sara Pagliaroli, who also has her own jewellery brand, Blue Lemon..

Lance Stroll Helmets

Stroll's helmet changes most years depending on the team with which he is racing, and the sponsors connected to the team. Currently, the Canadian's helmet is Aston Martin green and features the brand 'wings' on either side of his visor.
