Romain Grosjean has mercifully survived a fireball crash on lap one of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Grosjean's Haas immediately burst into flames after hitting a metal barrier, with his car splitting in two.
The medical car, with Dr Ian Roberts, and marshals were instantly on the scene to help an injured Grosjean away from the crash.
The French driver sustained minor burns to his hands and ankles, while he is also understood to have fractured rib/s.
