Mercedes brought a two-day 'pre-season' Formula 1 test to a close with Lewis Hamilton assuming driving duties at Silverstone.
Hamilton was briefly reacquainted with his 2018 title-winning Mercedes W09 car at the British Grand Prix venue.
Due to testing regulations which mandate that cars used for such tests must be at least two years old, the W09 was the most up-to-date car available to Mercedes.
While a secondary benefit of the test was that both Mercedes drivers were able to get back behind the wheel, the primary focus of the two days was to get team personnel up to speed with the new safety procedures and protocols introduced by F1 and the FIA.
As is visible in the pictures, face masks and visors are now a part of the standard kit for all members of the team.
