F1 TV reimburse subscribers after the season start is delayed

Formula 1 are reimbursing subscribers of the F1 TV service after the cancellation or postponement of the first four races of the season.

After being bombarded with criticism for their handling of the Australian Grand Prix and the resulting cancellation of the event, Formula 1 bosses have acted quickly to postpone events until May and have also announced that they will reimburse F1 TV subscribers as it would not be possible to supply the promised level of content.

Messages read: "As a valued F1 TV subscriber and following the changes announced to the 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship, we wanted to let you know about some changes to your F1 TV subscription.

"With no live racing possible yet and as we wait for the season to start, we would like to gift you an iTunes voucher. We are unable to process refunds for you as we do not manage your payment details since this is processed by Apple."

At present, the Formula 1 season is due to begin with the Dutch Grand Prix on May 3, but discussions are already underway to find alternate dates for both this event and the Spanish Grand Prix, the race due to take place one week after the trip to Zandvoort.
