Valtteri Bottas continued his fine form at the French Grand Prix, topping the fP3 timesheets, as Lewis Hamilton once again struggled to get to grips with the Circuit Paul Ricard. Perhaps of some comfort for the championship leader, is Mercedes' clear strength over Ferrari.
The Silver Arrows have been in a class of their own all event thus far, with Ferrari similarly lonely as second-best, with Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel half a second adrift.
Behind them, the race for the third row looks an interesting one, with Red Bull struggling to pull clear of McLaren and Daniel Ricciardo's upgraded Renault.
Lando Norris has looked in excellent form and seems in position to capitalise on any struggles in the Red Bull team.
George Russell, having missed FP1 to give Nicholas Latifi a run in the Williams, missed much of the Saturday morning session due to a power unit issue.
