Mercedes have paid a glowing tribute to Niki Lauda, on the day of the Formula 1 legend's funeral in Vienna, Austria. Lauda passed away last week aged 70 after suffering numerous health issues, including a life-saving lung transplant last year.
Three-time world champion Lauda was the Silver Arrows' non-executive chairman from 2013 until his passing.
As well as leading the growth of the team, Lauda played a crucial role in the appointment of Lewis Hamilton from McLaren for the 2013 season.
Since the dawning of the V6 Hybrid era, Mercedes and Hamilton have utterly dominated F1, with Lauda's presence seen as crucial in their sustained success.
