Red Bull motorsport advisor Dr Helmut Marko has no concerns that Max Verstappen will grow impatient with Honda's development in 2019, saying the Dutchman is fully aware of crucial upgrades to come this year. Verstappen has finished fourth twice, adding to an Australia podium, so far in 2019, but has not been on the pace of the lead car in any race.
Superior racecraft and strategy helped Verstappen get the better of a Ferrari in Australia and China respectively, while he could have snuck a podium from the ailing Charles Leclerc in Bahrain if not for a late safety car.
Verstappen ended 2018 as one of the most in-form drivers on the grid, winning in Mexico and seeing a likely victory in Brazil taken away by a collision with Esteban Ocon.
Although he has not been in the fight for first so far this season, Marko has no concerns that Verstappen will begin to grow unsettled any time soon.
