Ferrari look like the team to beat at the Belgian Grand Prix after Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen shared timesheet-topping honours in Friday practice. The Scuderia saw big points fall through their fingers in races prior to the summer break and the return of rain over the weekend may keep things in check. Here we look at the main talking points from Friday's action.
Hamilton was quickest through the speed trap and delivered the quickest average long-run pace on supersoft tyres in FP2, although his run was shortened when he flat-spotted his front-right tyre.
Sergio Perez was in a class of his own in FP2 to go seventh-quickest for (Racing Point) Force India, five tenths down on Ricciardo, but eight tenths quicker than Carlos Sainz Jr in eighth. Esteban Ocon was seventh in FP1, hinting at a strong weekend ahead for the pink cars on their 'debut'.
Lando Norris made his on-track F1 debut for McLaren in FP1 and went quicker than Stoffel Vandoorne - hampered by brake issues - as the pair vie for a seat in 2019. Vandoorne also had limited running in FP2, branding his car "undriveable" early in the session.
