A proposed course of the Miami Grand Prix has been revealed by a member of the city's commission - the body which will vote to include it on the Formula 1 calendar. Liberty Media revealed plans this week to bring a second grand prix to the United States with a Miami street race.
Miami is set to host an F1 Live event in the build-up to this year's United States Grand Prix to give locals a taste of the sport, although many are unhappy at the proposals and have campaigned against the addition of a grand prix.
An image shared by district commissioner Ken Russell shows a route through downtown Miami and over the Port Boulevard bridge to Dodge Island.
The track will also circle the American Airlines Arena, home of NBA's Miami Heat, and the Freedom Tower.
Today got a first look at a potential map for @F1 in @downtownMIA. Most of course is in the port with a loop around AAArena. Would you like to see #miami become a stop on the Formula One circuit? pic.twitter.com/sOY08hJ5yM
